微软(Microsoft Corp., MSFT)今天将开通免费的“博客”(blogging)服务，这是微软为从Google Inc.等竞争对手处吸引更多的用户使用MSN网上服务而采取的最新举措。

微软的此项服务被称为MSN Spaces，该服务将允许用户创建自己的包括照片、音乐和文字在内的网上日志。网上日志是一种个人网站和观点日志的形式，近年来开始风行。早期的网上日志主要关注的是技术和政治，不过，目前数以百万的电脑用户最起码已尝试过这种形式了。

微软表示，今天推出的服务是测试版，将在今后数月中逐渐升级。

MSN的一位负责人Phil Holden表示，微软希望此项新服务有助于增加MSN新订户的数量。此项新服务的部分内容将被链接到MSN的付费服务上。
